Polystyrene is far more clean and sustainable than polyurethane. Now that DMAS has introduced a new generation of polystyrene absorbers that offers the performance to match, there is no reason to choose anything else.
DMAS RF absorbers are designed and manufactured in The Netherlands to ensure the highest levels of quality.
No hazardous materials are used during production and yet DMAS absorbers are incredibly durable, fire retardant and resistant to humidity and changes in ambient temperature.
Tight quality control according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards applies to all of our production. Quality testing is conducted in our own lab in accordance with the IEEE std 1128-1998 standard.

This 5-inch (13cm) absorber is specifically designed for smaller wireless antenna test setups, like OTA boxes or cabinets. The operating frequency is 2GHz up to 110GHz.
With a total height of 12-inch (30cm) this microwave absorber’ reflectivity performance is outstanding. Among other USP’s, DMAS absorbers are made of expanded polystyrene (EPS) and come with great benefits over traditional foams.
Introducing the MT45-JT (18”) absorber: a long-lasting, javelin-tipped, polystyrene absorber. Among other USP’s, DMAS absorbers are humidity resistant and made of closed-cell material. This provides great benefits over traditional foam materials, such as no leakage of carbon particles.
This polystyrene absorber offers the enormous benefit of meeting reflectivity requirements part of MIL-STD461 guidelines, even when no ferrite tile base is utilized. This means a great cost reduction can be achieved using the MT50 absorber.
The tallest DMAS absorber is the MT65-JT. This 26-inch absorber is designed for measurements at very low frequencies. Its operating frequency starts at 200MHz. Among other USP’s, DMAS absorbers are lightweight and easy to install. (Adhesive-free installations)
The HT25 absorber is typically used in CISPR25 or MIL-STD461 (EMC) test chambers. Perfectly tuned for use in semi anechoic chambers, DMAS Hybrid EMC Absorbers are all specifically matched for use in combination with compatible ferrite tiles.
DMAS Hybrid Absorber models are broadband, closed-cell carbon loaded polystyrene absorbers and are specifically tuned for perfect performance in semi- and full anechoic chambers using a matching ferrite tile.
DMAS Hybrid Absorbers are carbon loaded polystyrene absorbers and are specifically tuned for perfect performance in semi- and full anechoic chambers. The fact polystyrene is a closed-cell material provides great advantages over traditional polyfoam alternatives.
Need quick access to your antenna or Device Under Test (DUT)? Tired of getting first the floor absorbers out of the way before you can make adjustments in your setup? With DMAS walkway absorbers you have an immediate pathway available.
Each Hybrid EMC Absorber can be equipped with two protective end caps. White end caps are 600 x 600mm and help to improve illumination within anechoic chambers. DMAS end caps are available in colors grey and white.
DMAS supplies high performance RF absorbers designed to function exceptionally well in anechoic chambers and antenna test ranges. To ensure characteristics that fit these applications, two separate product categories have been developed: microwave absorbers and hybrid EMC absorbers. Both excellent alternatives for foam absorbers!
We offer a selection of pyramidal absorbers of varying sizes to suit a wide range of antenna test ranges and antenna measurement applications. The “Javelin” product family (named for its distinctive tip) has expanded in recent years and now contains three models starting at 30cm (12inch) in height. Additional models for new applications are currently being developed. Check out our microwave absorber brochures for detailed information and performance graphs.
DMAS EMC absorbers are tuned for cascade design methods using a ferrite tile base. This proven hybrid design solution was incorporated by our distributors in 2011 and is successfully being utilized in numerous anechoic chambers around the world.
The MT50 absorber is a broadband, closed-cell polystyrene absorber with an operating frequency starting at 80MHz up to 40GHz. The MT50 model is developed for MIL-STD461 applications in semi-anechoic chambers without the need for a matching ferrite tile.

To complement full anechoic chambers, DMAS has developed a high-end walkway absorber using reinforced fiberglass epoxy grid panels. These walkway absorbers are essential in minimizing downtime for engineers by providing easy access to equipment under test (EUT) in full anechoic chambers with floor covering absorbers.
