Hybrid EMC absorber overview

Perfectly tuned for (semi) anechoic chambers

Our hybrid EMC absorber is designed for use in combination with a compatible ferrite tile. DMAS has carefully selected a sintered ferrite tile that delivers excellent electromagnetic absorption performance at low frequencies and is also suited for hybrid (cascade) solutions in combination with our hybrid EMC absorbers.

This hybrid approach, unlike the microwave absorbers, using a ferrite underlayer, is a proven solution for semi and full anechoic chambers, designed for EMC testing applications. The patented design affords the EMC absorber many advantages over competing solutions. A great alternative for foam absorbers!

Environmentally friendly

For sustainability, choose the DMAS hybrid absorber

Thanks to next-gen material properties, DMAS hybrid EMC absorbers are long lasting, fire retardant and resistant to changes in humidity. They are also REACH and RoHS compliant since these characteristics are achieved without relying on potentially hazardous materials during fabrication. In addition, the modular design makes it easy to replace a damaged taper without having to throw out an entire RF absorber.

Due to closed-cell material properties, our pyramidal hybrid absorbers do not leak any carbon particles during its life-cycle, meaning your laboratory remains a clean working environment. If you are looking for the most sustainable option, choose a DMAS EMC absorber.

FT106 ferrite tile

Excellent electromagnetic absorption

DMAS hybrid EMC absorbers are tuned to perform well over the FT106 sintered ferrite tile. These tiles have excellent absorption in the 10MHz to 1GHz range. When combined with the ferrite tile, the electromagnetic absorber offers great performance over the entire frequency range, up to 40GHz. A ferrite tile is easy to install and can either be glued or screwed to the inner lining of the RF shielding enclosure.

protective white end caps for EMC absorber

Accessory

White & grey end caps

Our Hybrid EMC absorbers can be equipped with a lightweight end cap. These end caps serve to protect the taper tips against small forms of damage. They are available in a white and gray finish. As an added benefit for the electromagnetic absorbers, the white end caps also enhance light levels within the EMC chamber, making it easier for engineers to work.

Working with us

Why choose DMAS
