A high performance, broadband, carbon loaded polystyrene absorber. Made in the Netherlands.
CISPR / ISO / MIL-STD / IEC-EN / FCC / ANSI
Our hybrid EMC absorber is designed for use in combination with a compatible ferrite tile. DMAS has carefully selected a sintered ferrite tile that delivers excellent electromagnetic absorption performance at low frequencies and is also suited for hybrid (cascade) solutions in combination with our hybrid EMC absorbers.
This hybrid approach, unlike the microwave absorbers, using a ferrite underlayer, is a proven solution for semi and full anechoic chambers, designed for EMC testing applications. The patented design affords the EMC absorber many advantages over competing solutions. A great alternative for foam absorbers!
Thanks to next-gen material properties, DMAS hybrid EMC absorbers are long lasting, fire retardant and resistant to changes in humidity. They are also REACH and RoHS compliant since these characteristics are achieved without relying on potentially hazardous materials during fabrication. In addition, the modular design makes it easy to replace a damaged taper without having to throw out an entire RF absorber.
Due to closed-cell material properties, our pyramidal hybrid absorbers do not leak any carbon particles during its life-cycle, meaning your laboratory remains a clean working environment. If you are looking for the most sustainable option, choose a DMAS EMC absorber.

Environmentally friendly: REACH & RoHS compliant
Certified for use in clean room environments
Operating frequency range starting at 10MHz up to 40GHz
Available in the following product height:
Baseplate dimensions: 1200 by 600mm
Tuned for use with the sintered ferrite tile
Can be equipped with a white end caps to protect tapers and increase illumination
A product life expectancy upwards of 25 years
Compliant with international fire-retardant standards
DMAS hybrid EMC absorbers are tuned to perform well over the FT106 sintered ferrite tile. These tiles have excellent absorption in the 10MHz to 1GHz range. When combined with the ferrite tile, the electromagnetic absorber offers great performance over the entire frequency range, up to 40GHz. A ferrite tile is easy to install and can either be glued or screwed to the inner lining of the RF shielding enclosure.
Our Hybrid EMC absorbers can be equipped with a lightweight end cap. These end caps serve to protect the taper tips against small forms of damage. They are available in a white and gray finish. As an added benefit for the electromagnetic absorbers, the white end caps also enhance light levels within the EMC chamber, making it easier for engineers to work.

DMAS polystyrene absorbers are designed and manufactured in The Netherlands to ensure the highest levels of quality.
DMAS enjoys a close collaboration with Comtest Engineering, one of the foremost suppliers of anechoic chamber solutions. Together, we have over 45 years of experience in the field.
The HT25 absorber is typically used in CISPR25 or MIL-STD461 (EMC) test chambers. Perfectly tuned for use in semi anechoic chambers, DMAS Hybrid EMC Absorbers are all specifically matched for use in combination with compatible ferrite tiles.
DMAS Hybrid Absorber models are broadband, closed-cell carbon loaded polystyrene absorbers and are specifically tuned for perfect performance in semi- and full anechoic chambers using a matching ferrite tile.
DMAS Hybrid Absorbers are carbon loaded polystyrene absorbers and are specifically tuned for perfect performance in semi- and full anechoic chambers. The fact polystyrene is a closed-cell material provides great advantages over traditional polyfoam alternatives.
This polystyrene absorber offers the enormous benefit of meeting reflectivity requirements part of MIL-STD461 guidelines, even when no ferrite tile base is utilized. This means a great cost reduction can be achieved using the MT50 absorber.
Each Hybrid EMC Absorber can be equipped with two protective end caps. White end caps are 600 x 600mm and help to improve illumination within anechoic chambers. DMAS end caps are available in colors grey and white.
